Frances Almodovar
I am a young Afro-Latina storyteller. I use poetry, film, and photography to explore the human condition. I allow the intersectional aspects of my identity to inform the stories I tell. Over the past four years as a Communications student, I have taken advertising, film, graphic design, photography, and media writing courses that make me a well-rounded multimedia storyteller. The tools that I acquired in the classroom prepared me for internships in marketing, social media management, and content creation.
My goal is to direct and produce documentaries that encourage social change. To achieve that goal, I want to dabble in advertising, marketing, content production, and anything that simultaneously challenges me creatively and administratively. I strive to be a part of a diverse, socially conscious, and thoroughly collaborative organization.
